Survey on Work and Life among Expatriates in Japan
(May 2002)
The Japan Institute of Labour (JIL) began providing labor information in Japan to foreign companies and foreign-affiliated companies in Japan in fiscal 2000. This was a response to the rapid increase in investment in Japan by foreign firms since the second half of FY 1998, and we are continually modifying and improving the information that we offer as we gain a better understanding of the needs of foreign companies and other interested parties.
