Q7: How does the Japanese social security system work?
A7:

Japan's social security system resembles those in force in Europe and the United States in that it embraces medical insurance, pensions, unemployment insurance, social welfare and public health services. Medical insurance, pensions and unemployment insurance are administered as part of the social insurance system, whereas social welfare programs are disbursed from the government's budget.
